From Septembre to December 2009 the traditions of ancient Sardinia land are still alives in the old houses of the little town in Barbagia region

Also this year, from September to December, Sardinia’s most hidden and savage heart will welcome visitors with the suggestive event called “Autunno in Barbagia”. It will include 24 villages, offering its traditional hospitality in the typical Cortes.

The event represents a unique opportunity to discover the most genuine traditions of the island’s internal parts, with fascinating treks along the historical centres and its ancient architectures in stone, along the typical artisan workshops, canteen and country kitchens, with their typical products that will certainly remain in the visitor’s heart and mind. All this within the magical framework of Barbagia, characterized by a savage nature, by a risch wildlife, where the moufflon and royal eagle reign. “Autumn in Barbagia” is a windowcase to show the wealth of tradition and nature that this land may offer, which history and man have maintained unchanged.
Let’s then start this journey where tradition and modernity meet in a single embrace, which will surround the tourist with emotions, perfumes and tastes he will never forget.
